Why Aroma Espresso Bar Is More Than Just A Coffee Shop

If you live or hang out in the downtown Toronto area you’ve probably noticed an Aroma Espresso Bar in the area. And if you’re like me your first thought may have been “how many coffee shops do we need in Toronto”. The answer to that seems to be that there can never be too many coffee shops in the city! But I’ve recently learnedΒ that Aroma is not just about the coffee.

Probably my most frequented Aroma in the city is the one located in Liberty Village – it’s where I often meet my friend Solmaz of The Curious CreatureΒ on coffee dates for work, catching up and getting travel advice! But did you know that this Israeli coffee chain founded in 1994 has over 150 worldwide locations including 30 in the GTA?

Solmaz also shares a love for Aroma and so she decided to host a brunch for a few ladies to introduce us to the many offerings on Aroma’s menu. I had a blast hanging out with the other #AromaGirls – as we like to call ourselves πŸ˜‰ and it was so hard to pick something to devour on Aroma’s vast menu.

Even though it was a hot summer day I of course had to start off with an almond milk latte. There is also a wide variety of cold drinks too, in case you’re wondering! Some Aroma locations (including the one at Liberty Village) are also licensed, so you can enjoy a more festive beverage as some of my brunch companions did!

Because I was physically incapable of eating more than one breakfast I finally decided on the french toast – which is available in a gluten-free version too. I also learned that many of those who have decided to go gluten-free often frequent Aroma because they offer gluten-free bread that is actually soft and delicious!

This french toast REALLY hit the spot! It was light and fluffy and perfect! Here are some other menu items my fellow #AromaGirls ordered:
