I’m really not into Valentine’s day, however I’m REALLY into chocolate and sweets so if I had the choice I’d make Valentine’s less romantic and more chocolatey sweet:P
I recently went back to visit the redesigned Second Cup locationย but this time for a hot chocolate tasting event! I’ve always known about the Classic Hot Chocolate and the White Hot Chocolate but have you heard about the Vanilla Bean Hot Chocolate?
During the taste testing I got to re-experience all the different hot chocolate flavours. It was honestly hard to choose just one. The classic hot chocolate contains 6 different types of cocoa and is very smooth and not very sweet compared to some other hot chocolates I have tried. The White hot chocolate is super sweet but very creamy – it brought back so many university memories – this was my drink of choice instead of coffee back then ๐ The Vanilla Bean hot chocolate has such a nice flavour. I could really taste the Madagascar vanilla which gave it a very authentic taste – as opposed to a vanilla syrup flavour you can sometimes get. This drink would make a great alternative to a vanilla latte!
My ideal Valentine’s would be to actually share a couple of these hot chocolates with a loved one and perhaps indulge in a few baked treats to compliment them ๐
Speaking of treats – another way to enjoyย a Sweet Valentine’s day is with macarons! I know – macarons are everywhere and are hardly original when you see them popping up on instagram every where. But what about heart shaped macarons like these ones from Butter Avenue?
The “Box of Hearts” collection is limited edition and contains 2 dark chocolate, 2 wild raspberry and 2 Madagascar vanilla caramel (my favourite!) heart macarons. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out on the chance to try these – they didn’t last very long at my house ๐
So I’ve shared my ideal Valentine’s with you – what’s yours?
Revisiting this post after Valentine’s day, you’re making me crave chocolate! ๐
Haha – then my job is done ๐
