If you find yourself in the Yorkville / Bloor-Avenue-Queens Park area it will be hard to miss the pop up Club Monaco market set up in front of the beautiful flagship store. Right at the corner of Bloor and Avenue/Queens Park, the Club Monaco store looks like Β Roman or Greek temple (please note – I’m not an architecture expert!) providing many an instagram photo opp. Now there’s even more reason to stop to take a photo and check out the local businesses who will be on site daily til 7pm Monday to Saturday and 6pm on Sundays.
A while back (when I was still in University!) there used to be a restaurant with patio operating in this same spot so it’s nice to see the space made use of again, even if it’s for a short amount of time. The “patio” area is beautifully lined with flowers and greenery bordering cafe style chairs and tables.
Participating vendors are Parts & LabourΒ (salads only though – sadly no burgers!); Philip’s Ice Pops for a gourmet iced treat; Boxcar Social for your caffeine fix; Bake Shoppe for home made sweet treats and Sweet Woodruff for uber pretty blooms!
I stopped by the market for a London Fog and a strawberry rhubarb home made poptart…YES a homemade poptart! Bake Shoppe had a chocolate one too and many other delicious treats. I don’t find myself in that area of town very often but I’m already making excuses to go back so I can try out everything each vendor had to offer! The London Fog was PERFECT by the way and the homemade pop tart was WAY better than the “original” π
I really wanted to pick up some flowers but my cat eats plants and flowers so I have to be pretty careful about what I bring home. Even though I didn’t purchase anything, it was still nice to admire the flowers while I was enjoying my treats π
The market just opened up, and as I mentioned will be around til fall (unless the weather makes it impossible) but I definitely recommend stopping byΒ – it’s such a beautiful space so we should enjoy it while we can!
Do you think the Club Monaco Market (#CMmarket) is a good idea? Will you be checking it out?
This little market is adorable!
It is!! I can’t wait to go back!
Oh my god that looks like the cutest place! And I’ve never even heard of a homemade pop tart, but it looks delicious. The market kind of reminds me of my city’s town center, our city hall building has those same columns!
