With Valentine’s day coming up soon you may be searching for the perfect date night venue. MoRoCo is well known for their sweet treats, as it is the location of one of most well known chocolate boutiques in Toronto. But did you know that you can have a beautiful and intimate dinner there too? The atmosphere in the lounge is very romantic, and feels Parisian chic but modern glam too.
Winter Menu at MoRoCo
I was invited to a dinner showcasing some of the delicious and indulgent items on the Winter menu. With so many creative dishes and drinks on the menu, MoRoCo makes for the perfect date night; if you run out of conversation the food itself is a conversation starter!

We started the evening out with signature MoRoCo cocktails. Since I don’t drink I can’t really vouch for how any of them tasted, however my dinner companions seemed to be enjoying them thoroughly!

If I DID drink, the Frozen MoRoCo Mint Chocolat Martini would be my drink of choice. Vodka, Creme de Menthe, Creme de Cocoa and sipping chocolate are the ingredients of this delicious sounding drink!
We were offered up a variety of appetizers which reminded me of diner favourites with a french and elegant twist.

The S’mores pancakes were one of my favourites. Rich cocoa pancakes topped with house made marshmellow fluff and topped with a graham cracker crumble and nutella drizzle. Admittedly this is definitely more of a dessert but I don’t believe in any dinner “rules” ๐
Other items we were able to try were equally delicious: Chicken & Waffles, Breakfast Poutine and Potato Latkes.
Dinner options ranged from light and healthy to very hearty so there’s definitely something for everyone.

One of the lighter options on the menu included Tuna Tartare which is a very fresh and flavourful dish.

One of the more substantial dishes we tried was also one of my favourites: classic steak frites. This was surprising to me since I’m not even a huge steak eater!

Another favourite of the night for everyone seemed to be the Truffle Mac & Cheese. It is very yummy but very heavy too; I wouldn’t suggest it if you’re planning on leaving room for dessert!
Any of the desserts on MoRoCo’s menu are a great choice – that’s after all what they’re famous for!
You can check out the winter menu at MoRoCo, head over to their website. It’s quite a popular destination in Toronto so I’d recommend booking a table well in advance – especially if you’re looking to head there for Valentine’s Day!
All of this food looks so yummy! I love fancy mac & cheese- it’s one of my weakness, and that Truffle mac & cheese looks divine! Great post!
