A couple weeks ago I enjoyed a girls afternoon of pampering with my friend Stephanie Daga. We decided to celebrate our birthdays (both in April!) with a day just to ourselves where we could properly catch up. Normally our chats are through quick texts or through email with the occasional phone call to chat business (Stephanie is the founder of BlushPretty: Hair + Makeup Artistry and I often help her run the business).
In the month of May, The Stillwater Spa (located at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto) offered “She Inspires Me” services to celebrate mother’s day as well as to pamper any women of inspiration. We were invited to experience a manicure and pedicure at this award winning spa.
The Stillwater Spa is a full service urban oasis – once you enter you completely forget that you’re in the middle of downtown Toronto. The Tea Lounge is a great space to just relax with a coffee, infused water and light snacks. As a spa guest you can enjoy the use of the fitness centre, massage therapies, body treatments and salon services too.
Although the spa is located in the basement of the hotel, the area is so bright and cheerful, it doesn’t feel as though you’re under ground. I love that they bring in fresh, modernly arranged blooms to bring even more life into the space.
The pedicure and manicure area is very comfortable and I enjoyed that fact that it is set apart from other areas of the spa so you don’t feel as though you’re “on display” while getting your services done. Zoya and Beata who have both been with the Stillwater for years, put us at ease and helped to create the laid back and relaxing atmosphere that you may not expect from one of Toronto’s top spas.
Stephanie quite enjoyed our time at the spa – a girls afternoon out to catch up was just what we needed. With life as crazy and busy as it is these days, it’s really important to try and take the time out to just spend quality time with your friends and those that inspire you. Stephanie is certainly someone that is always inspiring me. She is so full of energy and great ideas and more importantly she’s always supportive and encouraging of everything I do and is one of my biggest cheerleaders!
If you’re looking for a place for a great girls day or afternoon out, consider checking out the Stillwater Spa at the Park Hyatt Hotel. Manicures and pedicures in particular are perfecting for catching up and bonding, as you are free from distractions and can truly enjoy REAL conversations!
From June 1st to August 31st the spa will be offering their seasonal “Golden Pear Pedicure” for $75.
Even the brightest diamond gets a polish with this premium brandy and pear treatment. First, the citrus infused clementine soak will revive your senses and lift your spirits with a blend of antioxidant and vitamin-rich natural oils that nourish skin. Next a rich bartlett-pear infused brandy scrub with fine grain sea salt and rice bran oil leaves your skin glistening and brilliantly soft-scented with ripe, light pear. Finally, we saturate your skin with sunshine as whipped Hello Yellow shea butter infused with natural vanilla and citrus oils takes your skin’s softness to the next level.
It sounds like you ladies had a nice relaxing time 🙂 It looks like a beautiful spa!
